Family Update – July 17h, 2020
Dear Friends and Family Members,
Thank you once again for all of your patience and understanding as we work towards finding a ‘new normal’. We remain free of COVID-19 at Terraces, and as we move to restart some of our services we hope to keep it that way! This week’s update will again be brief, as we only have a few updates and reminders for you.
As you know, our Social Visitation program started today and we are requesting your help to make it a success. If you have booked or plan to book a visit with your loved one, please be sure to read the guidelines for visitation that were sent out earlier this week.
To book a visit (if you are the designated visitor), please contact the Front Desk at: 604-738-8380 or terraces7@wcshm.com. In order to book a visit, you must first be confirmed as the designated visitor! There will only be one designated visitor per resident until the government reviews the roll-out of social visitation in August.
We are also thrilled to announce that we are re-open the dining room for service starting on [date]. We will need full cooperation from residents and staff in order to maintain the meal service once it has re-started, and this evening we will send out details to residents on what to expect.
Aside from those exciting changes, we just want to remind you that the government and medical health officers are emphasizing the need to be vigilant as the province finds its new balance. We all need to work together, and remind one another as needed, that hand hygiene, physical distancing, and other practices that protect ourselves and others, are still being practiced regularly.
As a reminder, because it is summer, the policy on isolation for people returning from a social leave has not changed. Keep this in mind if you plan to travel this summer with your loved one!
Thank you again for all of your support, and for your help in keeping Terraces COVID-19 free!
With gratitude, Terraces on 7th Management Team
