COVID-19 Community Update

Update – July 31st, 2020
Dear Friends and Family Members,
We want to thank you for your cooperation as we have begun the social visiting program over the last few weeks. After the first two weeks of the program, we have decided to make some adjustments to our schedule! Since there are a limited number of people currently taking advantage of social visits, we have made the following changes:
- The front desk will now provide a surgical mask to each social visitor when they arrive for their visit. Vancouver Coastal Health has mandated that cloth masks during visits are not sufficient.
- When available, you can now book two time slots in a row in order to have a visit longer than 30 minutes with your loved one!
- You can now request one regular weekly meeting time in the schedule, just ask when you are booking your visit. Once your regular time is set, it will be in the master schedule and you will not have to re-book that visit each week.
- If there is space you can book up to two visits per week, with each visit filling a maximum of two time slots on the schedule.
Please continue to book visits (if you are a designated visitor) by phoning the Front Desk at 604-738-8380. Thank you for your continued support during this process, and we are very happy with how it has gone so far!
The re-opening of our dining room has gone well so far, though we are still making adjustments and it will take some time for everyone to get used to the changes! We are still working to bring hairdressers and foot care back into the salon soon, though we do not have definite dates for the return of these services. We need to have detailed safety plans in place for each service (to be written and submitted by the service providers), and must also work with the current schedules of our service providers to find a time that works for them.
As a reminder, because it is summer, the policy on isolation for people returning from a social leave has not changed. Keep this in mind if you plan to travel this summer with your loved one. Thank you again for your cooperation during this time. The global COVID-19 pandemic has not created an ideal situation for anybody but we are all trying to manage it as best we can while being as safe as possible. With the situation in British Columbia being so delicate, we will continue to urge everybody to use caution and care in their decisions as they move about their communities.
Thank you again for all of your support, and for your help in keeping Terraces COVID-19 free!
With gratitude,
Terraces on 7th Management Team
